Some of the sidewalks in Cathedral are starting to get pretty chonky with snow-pack. If you haven’t considered joining our awesome crew of snow shovellers, now’s as good a time as any. Taste of Cathedral for 2026 is coming January 31. Join us for a tour of the great places to eat in Cathedral all gathered under one roof. There will be music from Hotdog! Bluegrass and our famous silent auction. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite or in person at Dessart Sweets on 13th (please pay for tickets with cash).

Just For Fun Hockey is a recreational league for young people aged 8-11 (9:30-10:30am), 12-14 (10:30 11:30am), 15-18 (11:30-12:30 pm) at the Optimist Arena on Saturdays.
Fees are $150 for the November 1 to December 20 half season or $250 for the full November 1 to March 7 season. Drop-in price is $20 per week but please register online so we know you’re coming.
Participants must be able to skate & have their own hockey equipment.
We’re looking for more adult skaters for our upcoming, weekly “Pick-Up” style Ringette.
The winter season runs from January to March on Thursday evenings at 8:15pm at the Optimist Arena. The cost is $125 for the fall season, or $200 for the full season. Goalies play for free. Registration is open to 18+ adults of all genders.
It is a perfect opportunity for new or experienced players who are looking for a consistent date and time to play ringette. It is a great way to get exercise, and have fun in a non-competitive, but still exciting way.
