The Cathedral Village Community Association Annual Meeting is coming up on March 19 from 7:30pm to 9pm at the Cathedral Neighbourhood Centre (2900 13th Ave, across the street from the 13th Ave Safeway).

Two big things will discussed at this meeting:
• We are looking for board members!
• We will be updating the Community Association bylaws.
THE CVCA NEEDS NEW BOARD MEMBERS!
The CVCA is seeking FOUR new board members at their March 19 AGM!
The Cathedral Village Community Association (CVCA) Annual General Meeting will be held March 17 at 7:30pm in the Cathedral Neighbourhood Centre (2900 13th Ave).
We have four vacant positions on the board that we are recruiting for. Board members must be 18 years or older, either a Cathedral resident or a Cathedral business and a member in good standing of the CVCA. Everyone who meets those requirements is welcome to run for a position.
We are especially on the lookout for folks with bookkeeping/financial or event planning experience or folks who have previously sat on other boards — though none of this experience is required to put your name forward.
But most importantly, we are looking for people who are enthusiastic about the Cathedral Village and want to contribute to making it more awesome.
The CVCA Board meets the fourth Tuesday of the month in the Cathedral Neighbourhood Centre. The meetings run two hours, sometimes longer. The Board executive will be elected at the first regular meeting after the AGM.
If you would like to put your name forward, this year we are asking people to self identify in advance of the AGM.
Interested candidates are asked to send a letter outlining the following information:
• Confirming you are a member of the CVCA (membership has been paid)
• What other volunteer experience do you have?
• Why do you want to join the CVCA board?
• Contact information of one person for a character reference.
Please send expressions of interest to info@cathedralvillage.org. Questions for a current board member? Please also send those in to the same email.
The CVCA Board is a enthusiastic group of local folk who love the Cathedral neighbourhood who try to keep meetings light hearted and sociable. This is an excellent opportunity if you are looking for a first experience of participating in a Board of Directors.
